Mom's Authentic Palak Paneer Recipe with step by step pictures – Spinach Curry which is flavored with Indian spices, tempered with garlic and served with Indian creamy cottage cheese.

Indian food is principally focused on taste and cooking methods. We prefer food which is well cooked, taste awesome and which is very healthy and nourishing.


Today I'm going to share Mom's prepared authentic recipe of palak paneer. It will be presented without making any changes. This recipe is completely different from the Palak Paneer Recipe, I had shared with you all few days ago. 


This Palak Paneer recipe is very quick, simple, delicious and nutritious. Spinach is not blanched separately in this recipe. This is one pot recipe of palak paneer. Sounds very interesting, isn't it!. No more suspense, here we go. Let's learn to make Authentic Palak Paneer Recipe in an easy to understand step wise pictorial:

◾INGREDIENTS REQUIRED FOR AUTHENTIC PALAK PANEER RECIPE:


⚫250g Paneer cubes 
⚫200g Palak (Spinach) 
⚫3 Onions - sliced 
⚫3 Tomatoes - roughly chopped 
⚫8-10 garlic cloves, chopped
⚫3-4 green chillies
⚫1tsp Turmeric powder
⚫1tsp red chilly powder
⚫Salt to taste



◾COOKING INSTRUCTION


♨ STEP 1: MISE EN PLACE 

♦ Onions:- Peel and Slice 

♦ Garlic:- Peel and chop

♦ Green chillies:- wash and finely chop

♦ Spinach:- Rinse spinach leaves and let drain in a colander and then finely chop it.

♦ Paneer cubes - Cut paneer into small cubes. Save 4-5 cubes aside for garnish.


♨STEP 2 COOKING TIME

♦ Heat oil in pressure cooker, add onions, stir fry on high flame till golden brown.




♦ Now add spinach leaves, tomatoes and green chillies. Mix all well, add 60-70 ml water, close cooker. Bring pressure cooker to full pressure over high heat. Allow 5-6 whistles, then reduce the heat and cook for 3-5 minutes.



♦ Remove cooker from heat and wait for all steam to escape. Open the pressure cooker. Churn it with a lentil masher. Keep churning till you obtain a smooth, creamy texture.




♦ Adjust the palak consistency, if needed, add water accordingly. Add paneer pieces, blend well, and simmer for 2-3 minutes.



♦ Now heat the oil or clarified butter in a small fry pan. Reduce heat, add the chopped garlic and stir. Fry till it becomes light golden brown.



♦ Pour tempering over the hot palak paneer and mix gently.



♦ Serve hot garnished with paneer pieces.
