How to make Kesar Thandai from the home made thandai masala powder, Saffron Flavored Milk Based Super Cool Indian Drink - Thandai, Kesar Sardai Recipe
This post is continuity of my earlier post homemade thandai masala. Today I'm going to share as how to make thandai from homemade thandai masala. Sharing Kesar thandai recipe with a stepwise pictorial guide.
I'm sharing one more variation of super cool Indian popular drink. This recipe of thandai is easier, quicker and super cool drink for this summer season. The best suited words for this thandai is healthy, super delicious and awesomely divine.

Here’s what you will need
(For 2 Servings)
☑ Ingredients - to be Soaked for 3-4 hours
⚫4-5 tbsp homemade thandai masala
⚫100 ml milk
⚫100 ml water
⚫2 drops rose essence
☑ Other ingredients needed
⚫7-8 tsp sugar or as per preference
⚫8-10 saffron threads
⚫Rose petals, saffron and nuts for garnish
✔Step 1 - Soaking of thandai masala powder
◾Pour 100 ml milk and 100 ml water in 4-5 tbsp thandai masala. Add 2-3 drops of rose essence and soak this thandai masala powder for 3-4 hours.
✔Step 2: Boil milk
◾Combine milk, sugar, cardamom in a heavy bottomed or non stick pan. Add saffron dissolved in milk. Boil milk until it reduces the half of the original quantity. Switch off the gas stove. Allow it to cool down.
◾Now mix both i.e Saffron flavor thickened milk + Soaked thandai masala mix.. Keep in the refrigerator for 45-60 minutes.
✔Step 3 Garnish and serve
◾Fill half glass with ice cubes and top up with the Thandai mix. Garnish with saffron, pistachios and rose petals and serve.
