Today's blog post is my sincere attempt to make the not so desirable food to the most desirable one. Sharing French Beans Masala Fry Recipe with stepwise images in GIF format.


French Beans are also known as green beans, snap beans and string beans. They are low in calories and contain no saturated fats. The fiber content is excellent that's why regarded as the best food for diabetic patients. In addition to that, french beans are a dependable source of vitamin C, vitamin K, vitamin A and also contain iron, riboflavin, thiamine, magnesium and potassium.

This vegetable is less preferred in our house and only consumed in salad form.. So, in order to make it more desirable I love to explore and create healthy recipes ... and when it works, it feels great that I can able to add another healthy vegetable in our weekly menu card.



Today's recipe is my creativity and it turned out just the way it was planned.. Trust me, once you give it a try, you'll love to prepare this recipe very frequently. This recipe comes under fast to cook, good to eat recipes. In order to enjoy this recipe green chilies should be added in good quantity ... 


Let's get started 


☑Recipe details 

▫Preparation time 8-10 minutes 
▫Cooking time 10-12 minutes 
▫Recipe Type Side dish 
▫Cuisine Indian 
▫Serving 3-4


☑Ingredients required 

▫250 grams french beans 
▫a pinch of soda bicarbonate
▫1 tsp turmeric powder
▫3-4 green chilies or as per taste
▫salt to taste 
▫1 tbsp ghee or cooking oil


☑For green paste

▫1 handful of cilantro leaves (Hara Daniya / coriander leaves )
▫4-5 shallots (baby onions / madras onion/ sambar onion)
▫1 tbsp sesame seeds (til)
▫2-3 tsp coriander seeds 
▫1-2 tbsp desiccated coconut 
▫1 tsp fennel seeds (Saunf)
▫2-3 tsp red chilly powder 
▫25-30 grams Jaggery (Gur)
▫1tbsp lemon juice
▫½ cup of water

☑Method


✔Step 1 Mise en place

French Beans - Wash - remove the strings - remove the head and tail and cut into small pieces.


◾Follow blanching method on the french beans by adding a pinch of cooking soda and sufficient water. Keep it aside until called for.



Green Paste - Add all the ingredients that are mentioned under green paste in a mixer grinder jar or blender and grind it to a fine paste.


Step 2 Cooking time 
◾Heat oil or ghee in a fry pan. Add green paste and stir fry for 3-5 minutes on medium to high heat.

◾Add turmeric powder, green chilies and salt to taste. Mix it all very well. 

◾Add blanched french beans, If needed, add ½ cup or a few drops of water and stir fry for 2-3 minutes or till done. 



◾Our vegetable is ready to dish out. Serve hot with chappati. 



☑ Notes - 

French beans don't need long hours of cooking as get cooked in 5-10 minutes..

I have Sony Cybershot DSC-WX350 Digital Camera (Pink),the best thing i love about my camera is the wifi feature, so images get transferred very easily from camera to mobile and laptop.. and that's the main reason for selecting this camera. It is very small camera, so initially it was difficult for me to hold, but now get used to it..
