✔️Recipe details
▪️ Preparation time 8-10 minutes 
▪️ Cooking time 25-30 minutes

✔️Ingredients required 
▫️2-3 drumsticks 
▫️2 medium size potatoes 
▫️4 large onions
▫️2-3 tomatoes 
▫️1 inch ginger piece
▫️2-3 green chillies or as per taste
▫️1 tsp garam masala powder
▫️2 tsp red chilli powder
▫️2 tsp coriander powder
▫️1 tsp turmeric powder
▫️Salt to taste 
▫️3-4 tbsp cooking oil or as per your preference



☑ Method 

✔️Step 1 Mise en place - vegetable cutting 

Drumsticks - peeled - cut into 2" pieces 



Potatoes - peeled and cut into medium cubes
Onions - peeled and roughly chopped 
Tomatoes - washed and roughly chopped 



✔️Step 2 Boil potatoes and drumsticks together 

◾Combine water, potato cubes and drumsticks and ¼ tsp of salt in a saucepan. See to it that water just covers the potatoes and drumsticks. 


◾Cover it with lid and cook it on slow flame for about 6-8 minutes until potatoes and drumsticks are 80-85% cooked. Keep it aside until called for.




✔️Step 3 Gravy preparation 



◾Heat oil in a wok or frying pan. Add the onions, saute until light gold brown.


◾Add tomatoes, ginger and green chillies, stir fry for a minute or two on high flame, then add ¼ cup water, cover it with lid and cook it on slow flame for about 3-5 minutes until it turns mushy.




◾Add all the dry ingredients i.e. red chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder and salt to taste. Mix it well. Stir and let it cook for a minute or two.





◾Add drumsticks and potatoes. Mix it very gently, if needed, add very little water and cover and simmer for 3-5 minutes.




◾Lastly sprinkle garam masala powder.

◾Add finely chopped cilantro leaves and serve hot with your preferred Indian bread or steamed rice.
